FACTS


Brian Harvey

* Brian isn't crazy about girls with big feet. His ideal celebrity tootsies belong to Kylie Minogue and Mariah Carey.

* Brian has three sisters - Sadie, Hayley and Leelee and two brothers named Tommy and Paul.

* Pauline (Brian's Mum) remembers Brian as being a bit of a hyperactive kid. He liked to climb ridiculously high walls pretending he was Spiderman, and he even made a habit of letting rabbits out of their hutches!

* When the band filmed the video for 'House Of Love', poor old Bri had a nasty abscess on his tooth. He decided to 'bleed' it himself but the following day, his entire face blew up like a balloon!

* Brian's loves video games and one of his favourites is 'Double Dragon'.

* Brian wouldn't pose nude, not even for a million pounds. Even though he agrees it's a huge amount of money, he'd be worried that fans got hold of the pictures.

* A fan once peed in front of Brian whilst he was walking down a corridor, just to get his attention. Brian described her as 'a sad case'.

* Brian didn't like Terry when he first met him. He recalls that every time he went round his mates house, Terry would be sitting there in a chair staring at him. Ironically, they ended up becoming the best of mates.

* Brian is the owner of two exclusive Cartier gold bracelets, with a combined value of over £1,500.

* Despite the fact that the band did a cover of 'West End Girls', Brian admits that he doesn't really like the Pet Shop Boys.

* Brian loves the laydees and has been romantically linked to many stars over the years, including Nicola Stapleton and Melissa Bell.

* Brian hates people prying in to his private life and prefers both the press and fans to stay out of it.

* Brian finally passed his driving test on the 14th July 1995 in Chingford, London.

* During the band's 1995 'Letting Off Steam Tour', Brian completely lost his voice after their show in Rotterdam and the band were forced to cancel the rest of their gigs in Germany.



Tony Mortimer

* When gangland killer Reggie Kray died, Tony was amongst those attending the funeral and even had a part in shouldering Kray's coffin.

* After Tony finished his charity Bike Ride from Brighton to Walthamstow, he had trouble sitting down he hurt so much. "I suffered from terrible muscle ache and didn't think I would make it."

* Tony wrote over sixty tracks for the 'Steam' album, but only ten were finally picked for the final release. He described it as 'Walthamstow' part two.

* Tony admitted that when 'Stay Another Day' went to Number one, he had a bit of a cry. "It was a bit of an emotional moment" he said.

* The East 17 track he is most proud of is a song called 'Dream Away' which wasn't featured on any of the band's releases.

* He has always wanted to write a film soundtrack and said that this was the reason he wrote songs in the first place.

* He admits that he prefers music to family - "music doesn't give me as many problems as family life does. My family don't pay rent, but my music does!"

* Tony owns a pair of industrial boots. John Buckland noticed some loops on the sides of them and suggested Tony fill them with bullets, so he paid £1 a bullet, which were fired especially for him.

* Tony is really interested in Yoga and does exercises every night, which involve a lot of stretching. "If it's good enough for cats, it's good enough for me!"

* The most romantic thing Tony has ever done is to treat his girlfriend, Tracey tot he car of her dreams. "She walked outside and nearly died." He even covered the entire back seat with roses. Ahhhh...

* Tony believes that love is the most important thing in the world and that it makes the world go round.

* One of Tony's most embarrassing moments was when he fell flat on his face in front of 8,000 people during a concert.

* Tony believes he is a solo kind of guy and could never get too attached to one person, or even his family.

* His favourite sandwich filling his cheese or fried egg and always with brown sauce.

* His favourite room in his house is his bathroom. It's all made in marble shipped from Portugal and the taps were made by Ferrari!

* Tony owns around a dozen pairs of pants, mostly in black.

* Tony believes that writing songs is like writing poetry. You have to search inside and find what you want to say, expressing what you're feeling at the time.



Terry Coldwell

* Terry has a real problem with getting up in the morning and constantly relies on the other members of the band to get him up in time for work.

* Took part in an interview with Mike Hrano (K-9 Club) in a hotel room, whilst half a dozen German fans drawled over him on his bed.

* Terry loves shopping for clothes and whenever an opportunity arises, likes to hit the local stores.

* Terry has a real sweet tooth and has also a liking for Champagne, Baileys and McDonalds strawberry flavour milk shakes.

* Terry is extremely polite and always remembers his pleases and thank you's, no matter what mood he's in.

* Terry always said he would like to move somewhere warm when East 17 finished - he's now running his own bar in Spain!

* Terry's first musical purchase was 'Ossies Dream' by Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club.

* He has a nasty scar near his bum where he jumped on to a fence spike when he was a kid.

* Is very ticklish under his arms and anywhere on his feet.

* Terry loves the 'X-Files' television series. He loves the fact that 'it's full of series possibilities and strange travel opportunities.'

* Terry likes to keep his private life pretty much to himself and rarely talks about his family and friends outside of work.

* Terry loves to take time out to talk to and meet fans. He understands how important they are to the success of the band and is always happy sign an autograph and pose for a photo (as do all the members of East 17).

* Terry loves Christmas and says that he'll never forget how East 17 made the top for Crimbo 1994. He enjoys staying at home with his family, opening presents, having dinner and then chilling out for the rest of the day in front of the TV.

* Terry is really proud of the work he put in to 'Up All Night'. Aside from 'Let It All Go' on 'Steam', this was the first time Terry had a chance to prove himself as a song-writer and all of his material was extremely well received.

* Terry found it really hard to get used to the screams he received during his time in East 17. He said that he would constantly look over his shoulder to see who everyone was screaming at.

* Terry had to stand in for many of Tony's lyrics when he was unable to attend a promotional tour in Istanbul, Turkey. Unfortunately he kept on forgetting the words whilst on stage or didn't really know them properly in the first place!

* Terry thinks that Russian night clubs are scary places to visit. He doesn't like the fact that you get searched with metal detectors as you enter!
