Levy
Levy has, and always will be, the official fifth member of the band. From their early days when 'House of Love' was released right through to 'Hey Child', this cute little Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was the band's official mascot and her face was recognised by every East 17 fan worldwide.
She appeared in the original 'House of Love' video with John and again in their follow up 'Gold', complete with her own pair of wings! As time went on though, and the demands on the boy's time became greater, Levy had a smaller part in the group. John's sister took on the responsibility of looking after her and a couple of years later, news arrived that she'd had puppies - lots more Levys on the loose!
It was Levy who was the inspiration behind the 'Bob Dog' logo which featured on many of the band's original singles and albums. When Walthamstow was released in 1993, 'Form' (the company behind the design of 'Bob Dog') drew up a customised 'Bob Dog' for each single on the record, plus an additional four which represented each member of the band: sunglasses for Anthony, cross eyes for Terry, hypno-eyes for Brian and a frown for John.
